For stay extension upsells, how is the total price calculated?

If you add the [total price] variable to the message:

We take the price of the reservation, divide it by the number of nights, and apply the discount to that nightly rate.

To avoid mispricing, only include the discount variable in the message and leave out the price

It's best to think about upsell messages as a primer to see if they're interested. Warm them up to the idea before showing the price!

A guest accepted the upsell. What happens next?

HostAI doesn't modify the reservation or handle payments. Once a guest accepts an upsell, it is up to you to make the necessary changes.

I have different prices based on the booking channel because of OTA markups. How can I ensure the upsell message surfaces the right price?

Go to upsell settings and add the relevant OTA markups to ensure the AI surfaces the correct price by booking channel.
