Set Up Post-Stay and Pre-Stay Gap Night Upsells

How it works

1. HostAI will look through each listing's calendar

2. It will detect all of the gap nights between reservations

3. Once a gap night is detected, it will generate an upsell message for you to send to guests to extend their stay

Upsells aren't sent automatically

Create a Gap Night Upsell (Pre-Stay)

A pre-stay gap night is a gap night before a guest's scheduled reservation.

Pre-Stay Gap Night

1. Click Create Upsell

2. Click Select Upsell Type and select Pre-Stay Gap Night

3. Set your upsell conditions

In the set up above, the AI will look at a listing's calendar 3 days before every guest checks in and will detect an upsell if there are exactly 2 gap nights between reservations

Set up multiple pre-stay upsells if you want the AI to search for only 1 gap night, or up to 4 gap nights

4. Edit the upsell message (use the variables to customize and personalize it to your voice)

The default upsell message is taken from one of our users who has a high conversion rate for upsells

A post-stay gap night is a gap night after a guest's scheduled reservation.

Post-Stay Gap

1. Click Create Upsell

2. Click Select Upsell Type and select Post-Stay Gap

There are two post-stay gap options. One starts detecting for gap nights before the check-in date and the other starts detecting before the checkout date.

3. Set your upsell conditions
